AutoLIGHT Pro was the leading lighting rig design program for AutoCAD from 1990 to 1997. It was used by international companies for planning and touring shows and by universities and drama colleges as an ideal way to teach the principals of effective lighting.

Theatre - The standard for the industry. Used around the world by a range of theatres, large and small - including the Royal Opera House, Stockholm City Theatre, Lyric Opera of Chicago and Victoria Theatre in Singapore.

Television - Television and AutoLIGHT Pro were made for each other. Radio Telefis Eireann and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation were early adopters among the TV companies on the leading edge of CAD based lighting design.

Education - Simply the best software tool to teach Lighting Design. College courses, using AutoLIGHT Pro are provided by institutions such as the Central School of Speech & Drama in London, North Arizona University and the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.

AutoLIGHT's sister program, LapLIGHT, won the award for best new product at the ABTT when it was launched in 1993. It was used by Ballet Rambert, Birmingham Hippodrome and the Haymarket Theatre Leicester among others.

Unfortunately British Theatre did not have sufficient funding to provide AutoCAD workstations for their lighting designers and it was not bringing in sufficient income to justify any further enhancement. A decision was taken in 1998 that AutoLIGHT was no longer a commercially viable product and we had no option but to announce the end of support for it in June 1999.
